About Ruby

Ruby has over 10 years of experience working with clients. She trained as a sports massage therapist before graduating from the University College of Osteopathy in London with a Masters in science. As a child Ruby received osteopathic treatment which helped her to develop a healthy relationship to her body, pain and injuries. These benefits were pivotal in her decision to train as an osteopath.

In 2019 she completed her post-graduate training at Core Clapton, the Centre for Osteopathic Research and Excellence, specialising in chronic pain management and went on to become the lead associate osteopath. Her continued work at Core has helped thousands of patients in Hackney access affordable treatment, while helping to contribute to ongoing research into the effectiveness of osteopathy.

She has further specialised as a paediatric osteopath, gaining an award in paediatric osteopathy from the Osteopathic Centre for Children in 2022. Further to this, her voluntary work for the centre has allowed hundreds of families to access necessary care and support.

Her empathic and gentle approach shines through and she aims to make her patients feel comfortable and welcome, ensuring that their individual needs are met.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a holistic hands-on based therapy used to diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Treatment includes massage, stretching, and physical manipulation to relieve pain and muscle tension, while improving joint mobility and function. Additional  advice on posture, exercise and ergonomics will help prevent symptoms from recurring. All osteopaths are regulated by the General Osteopathic Council and are required to complete 30 hours of up-to-date medical training each year.

During an initial appointment your osteopath will spend time getting to know you and what may have contributed to your pain or discomfort. They will perform a physical examination to aid their diagnosis and form a treatment plan, detailing what benefits you can expect from treatment and advising on exercise to ensure that your pain is managed well at home. The appointment includes treatment which will get you back to feeling comfortable as soon as possible.
